East Ayr State School’s tuckshop is open every day for little and big lunch. The tuckshop is run by the P&C Association therefore all proceeds go back to our school to help with student learning. We strive to bring your children a healthy range of reasonably priced foods. Menu items may be unavailable from time to time due to factors outside our control.
East Ayr State School has a healthy eating policy that recommends and encourages students to make Smart Food Choices.
GREEN – have plenty – These are food and drinks we encourage children to select.
AMBER – select carefully
– We encourage children to select small serves of these items.
RED – These foods are only available for two days per term for the entire school.
Wherever possible we choose low fat products for our Tuckshop Menu. Salad and Fruit products are subject to seasonal changes and pricing. To ensure we can keep running the Tuckshop every day of the week, it has been necessary to update our prices to cover all of our costs.
Tuckshop orders:
There are two ways that tuckshop can be ordered.
1. The preferred method of ordering is the 'QuickCliq' online ordering system. Orders can be placed online before 8.45am each day, or you can actually order up to four weeks in advance. Parents are required to sign up and add credit to their account before ordering. Credit can be transferred into your QuickCliq account by credit card or direct bank deposit. 2. The PACKET SYSTEM can be used for ordering from Tuckshop for both breaks. Please ensure that packets display the following information:
CHILD'S NAME
CLASS – eg 2A
Whether it is FIRST BREAK or SECOND BREAK
FOOD REQUIRED
TOTAL MONEY ENCLOSED $_________
Tuckshop orders are to be placed into the class basket before classes start each morning. Correct money is to be enclosed in individual packets.
P&C and Volunteers:
The Tuckshop would not be able to operate without the help of our wonderful volunteers, if you are able to help out please drop into the Tuckshop and see Bronwyn or phone on (07) 47830225 between the hours of 8.30am and 1.45pm Monday to Friday. Students love to see someone they love in the Tuckshop during their breaks and any help is greatly appreciated.
